Hello everyone, for my Bar Mitzvah Tikkun Olam project I have decided to raise money for PeacePlayers.
PeacePlayers uses the power of sport to unite, educate and inspire young people to create a more peaceful world. They offer sport programming, peace education, and leadership development to those living in communities in conflict.
I chose this organization because of the way they bring people together and resolve conflict through the game of basketball. Right now the world is facing a lot of violent conflict. Getting people together to play a sport, learn how to communicate and work with each other is beneficial. These people can bring what they learned back to their communities and help make a difference.
