For over two decades, PeacePlayers has been harnessing the power of basketball to create a more peaceful and equitable world. Our global youth movement unites diverse young leaders, transcending borders and backgrounds, to dismantle structures of conflict and inequality. Today, we invite you to be part of our exciting “Everyone Wins” campaign, where gender equality takes center stage.

Why Gender Equality Matters

Gender equality is not just a buzzword; it’s a game-changer. When there is equality in fields like leadership, sports, and peacebuilding, EVERYONE WINS. Let’s break it down:

• Empowering women and girls to lead fosters innovation, collaboration, and sustainable change. Yet, globally, women hold only 29% of senior management positions. We’re changing that.
• Basketball isn’t just about scoring points; it’s about teamwork, resilience, and breaking barriers. But did you know that only 4% of sports media coverage features women athletes? Let’s level the playing field.
• As of July 2023, women represented Heads of State and Government in only 27 countries worldwide. We're actively putting young women in leadership roles.

Your support will directly impact lives.

Your support will transform the life of Zola from South Africa who will step into her role as a basketball coach. She’ll inspire young girls, breaking down barriers and empowering them to dream big. Through her coaching, Zola will create a ripple effect, shaping future leaders who champion gender equality and inclusion.

Your support will transform Adam’s journey. He’ll evolve from a troubled teenager to a community leader. Adam will use basketball as a bridge, advocating for peace and unity in his Brooklyn neighborhood. His impact will extend far beyond the court, touching lives and fostering positive change.

Your support will transform whole communities' views on involving girls in sports, like that of Conor from Northern Ireland. He will stop viewing the basketball court as a space reserved only for boys, and begin to champion co-ed tournaments in his community that celebrate diversity and inclusion, widening the circle of influence.

Your support will transform Samira, a long-time staff member of PeacePlayers Middle East, who has been breaking gender barriers in sport. Female representation in Israel, especially for Arab women, has been historically disproportionate. However Samira and her peers have, and will continue to, defy norms. Samira’s determination and resilience will continue to shatter gender stereotypes, creating a more inclusive and equitable basketball community in the Middle East.
